For A Natural Cure, Take Garlic - And Candida May Finally Be Gone

If you have tried many home remedies, prescription creams and antibiotics from your doctor, and you still have a yeast infection, why not try garlic, and candida fungus might be eradicated at last.  The key is taking it in the form that works. It usually requires eating garlic, and it must be eaten in a specific form.

The reason for this is the active ingredient, allicin, must be full strength.  For the needed potency, you should eat a clove of garlic.  Some people like to use whole garlic bulbs in recipes, but eating it in that form is not as effective.  Eating in little amounts in minced form will probably not work either. It is concentrated within each clove, and the allicin that fights the fungus, and in some cases even viruses and bacteria, is within each clove. Eat a raw clove of garlic, and candida will be greatly reduced if not completely cured.

The problem with this is that some people don’t want to each raw garlic. But consider the alternative-- putting up with candida for the rest of your life.  If uncontrolled for years candida could cause more serious problems. Problems may include the following.

Muscle aches
Inability to concentrate
Allergies and asthma
Depression
Vision problems
Digestive problems, stomach aches and cramps
Bloating
Skin problems, rashes
Back pain
Hyperpermiablity - or leaky gut syndrome.  This occurs when there is damage to the gastrointestinal wall

The most egregious problem is sepsis - a central nervous system problem that causes heart problems.

If you want to try the most effective way of taking garlic - and candida is simply not responding to anything else you have tried, follow these tips for greatest benefits.

  1. Separate cloves from the blub
  2. Let the clove stand for five minutes to activate the allicin
  3. Take one clove in the morning and one at night, or 2 at once if that is more convenient
  4. Repeat daily
  5. Either eat the clove whole or squeeze the juice from the individual clove and drink it in a vegetable juice or other beverage if you prefer it mixed
  6. Do not heat or cook the garlic, because it weakens the active component, i.e. allicin.

You will have some side effects, as you are probably aware. Body odor and bad breath -- in which case frequently brushing your teeth, using deodorant and bathing more often will help, although there is no way to completely remove the odor.

Other side effects from regular doses of raw garlic include: upset stomach, gas, especially if consumed on an empty stomach, muscle aches, headache, and fever.

An over the counter pain reliever should take care of the headache.  If other side effects continue, don’t keep taking garlic raw. Capsules are the next best alternative.

There may be some benefits from 300 mg capsules, 2 times a day. They must have a specified amount of allicin, preferably at least 5 mg per capsule. There will be little or no benefit from taking garlic in tablet form, as heat used in manufacturing severely weakens potency.

Warnings for use of raw garlic:

It is not recommended to use garlic on the skin as it can burn or cause rashes.  Also, if you take blood thinners like Plavix or other blood thinners, garlic may cause your blood to thin excessively leaving you at risk for excess bleeding.

If you will be having surgery you should stop taking garlic about 2 weeks prior, to protect from excessive bleeding.  Consider taking garlic, and candida may be better controlled than with any other treatment you have tried.
